Fixing kitchen units to a wall
Instructions:
To attach the units to the wall you will need L brackets similar to the ones shown by the fitter. The L brackets will be fitted to the inside of the gables as shown and marked with a pencil ready to drill. Mark both ends before moving the unit. Move the unit away from the area you are about to drill and prepare to drill the wall. Ensure you use the correct drill bit and wall plugs for the type of wall you are fixing to, then drill your holes into the marks you made previously and screw the L bracket to the wall as shown here by the fitter. The reason you attach the bracket to the wall first and not the gable is to ensure the units fit correctly even if the wall is not plumb. If fitting the bracket to the gable first it can cause the units to be pulled out of line when you attach it to the wall, therefore affecting the rest of the units we attach to this one. Return the unit you are about to fit to the wall with the brackets fitted and place the unit against the L brackets as shown here by the fitter. Ensure the unit is still level, if not then adjust accordingly. Pre drill the gable through the L bracket as shown by the fitter then attach then attach the L bracket to the gable with the correct size screw then check to ensure the fixing is secure. Before moving on to the next unit re check the unit is level on all sides both horizontally and vertically.
